Odor...

Weston and I are dog-sitting for our nephew dog Koda. It normally isn't a big deal considering Tahoe then has a friend to play with all day, but it becomes a problem when it is a downpour of rain outside and we have to bring both dogs inside. Koda is officially an outside dog and hasn't been trained on what to do when inside. Tahoe is both and outside and inside dog and we figured he would give Koda a few pointers. Needless to say, this is how we started off our night...

Yeppers!
That was Koda greeting us downstairs while we were catching up on Glee (which was so hysterical). I smelled something funny and looked over my shoulder and saw it...
Just piled high sitting there!
Soaking into our carpet!
Smelling our basement!
I quickly said "Not it" and ran to grab a bag for Weston to pick it up along with my camera. I new what was going to happen if I made Weston pick it up and wanted to take a pic of it because I laugh so hard everytime! Well, the funny thing is, Weston dry heaves ALOT when it comes to doggy matter.
Touching poop,
Thinking about touching poop, and
Smelling poop
all make him vomit. I almost had to use Resolve on our carpet from Weston's lack of stomach control! Eventually after countless attempts to pick it up, he quit! Red faced and sick to his stomach making these awful puking sounds, he left the bag and yelled "I touched it! I touched it! I can't do it! I just can't! You pick it up!"
Naturally, I just laughed...

ScHAIRy

HAHAHA...
I didn't know what to say when weston walked in the door from getting his hair cut, so I grabbed my camera instead!
I figured some things are better left unsaid...

COWBOY UP

Weston went to Castledale with his friends Craig, Scott, Sam and Joe to play Cowboy for the weekend. He had such a great time riding horses and branding cattle. (thanks Joe).
Why? I have no idea!
Here are two pretty amazing reasons why women shouldn't do this...
1-burns from branding (ouch Scott)
2- kicked in the jaw by cattle (yikes Sam)
But I am just glad that my sweets came home in one piece! Missed you while you were gone!

TAHOE

As you know, we have a "little big runny aroundy thingy". He acts as a human but in reality, he is a dog. His real name is Tahoe, however, he will answer to T-hoe, Taj, Puppy, Dork-face, Butt-face, Buddy, Comet, Creeper and Stinky! Weston and I have truly been blessed with an amazing furr-shedding best friend. Tahoe is a one-of-a-kind Golden Retriever! He loves to play tricks on us and has the best personality of any dog. He constantly makes us laugh and knows exactly how to push our buttons. He is so freaking cute, that we can never get mad at him. You may think this is all you need to know about our dog Tahoe, but I am here to tell you that things are not always as they seem.

He is a door greeter!
He waits patiently for us to come through the door and greets us with kisses, jumps and lots of snorting!

He is a watch dog!
He will sit there and stare at you all day without moving if he feels you are a threat continually making a quiet but deadly growl!

He is a Human!
He is our child who pouts and makes faces when he doesn't get what he wants!

He is a rescue dog!
He can find anything that is buried no matter how deep and in no time flat!

He is a Passenger!
He has to be right next t0 us at all times no matter what in the car, even if his position is incredibly uncomfortable.

He is High Maintenance!
He thought is was better to sleep on our lawn chair rather than his bed for the night.

He is a Lover!
He loves cuddling and spooning and occasionally forking at any time of the day.

He is a Model!
He is always ready for his head shot and loves the camera.
This is our puppy Tahoe whom we love and adore. I thought I would share our pride and joy with all of you considering we don't have real human children to blog about! ENJOY...

HAPPY BIRFSDAY...

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a (wo)man, I put away childish things"(1 cor. 13:11).
Basically this what my sweets told me to do this year. You see, I love birthdays and I love to celebrate them even more. Not only would I celebrate my birth-day, but I would also celebrate my whole birth month, birthday week, pre birthday party day, post birthday party day and end of the birthday month. Weston grew quite tired of wishing me a "Happy Birthday month" every morning. He also grew tired of me attaching all activities, presents, conversations and dinners to my birthday. Well, needless to say, two weeks ago i stopped celebrating my birthday and waited patiently until the 30th to celebrate my ACTUAL birth day. My sweets kindly asked me to "put away my childish things" and mentioned that only children celebrate their birthdays the whole month. I figured since I was turning 26, I better stop.

My sweet husband Weston made me breakfast in bed and sang the whole Happy Birthday song! My family took me to lunch at Thaifoon. Weston and I ate dinner at trio and then had our families over for cake and ice cream. I received some amazing gifts and am very appreciative of them all!

It was a great birthday and I couldn't be happier for all the blessings that I have in my life. I love Weston very much and am so grateful for our happy marriage. He brightens my day with laughter, smiles and fun. He truly is my best friend and I adore him. I love our families and the constant support they offer me and us. I am grateful for my health, friends, the gospel, Tahoe, work, food and many many other things. My only wish this year is to accomplish my birthday goals for the next year.

JEEPIN' IN MOAB

Last weekend we went to Moab to kick start the annual Jeep Safari. What a blast! From the company (Bryn, Linda, Kirk, Mark and Sharon), to the food (Pasta Jay's, Buck's) you can't forget about the the most incredible views alongside the trails of Steel Bender, Metal Masher, and Finns and Things.

Parts of the trails were technical, but they didn't have anything on the drivers! Weston, Mark and I drove like champs and defeated all obstacles that came our way. It was so fun to be apart of the jeep safari. Not only did we drive trails, pick our lines, locker up or down, sway bar away, deflate the tires, moab bump, and baja; but we also watched many funny and random peeps attempt the salad bowl. SO HILARIOUS

Meet HANK! He shows up in an old stock ford truck. Out jumps two women, one man and a dog. Already we are thinking ' there is NO way he can do this'. But he jumped in his beater truck, revved the engine ALOT to get all the attention of the crowd and tries to baja up the salad bowl. As he shows off during his rant of success, (or lack of considering he never made it) Hanks' muffler falls off, the steering wheel flies out the front window, he nearly slingshots himself out the passenger window and he then has to manually start his truck from under the hood everytime he stalls. Oh, and his tires are bald! But we give him all the props for trying and he won the hearts of all of us that watched. Well most of us...
What a "tool" claims Weston!

UMMM... rrrrriiiiiigggggghhhhhttttttt

Thanks Mark and Sharon for inviting us for an awesome weekend of fun. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to go down with you again. Also, thank you to Kirk, Linda and Bryn for making the laughter continuous, and for all the help with the trailer. We love you!

JUST MAUIED!

Weston and I went to Maui on our Honeymoon and had such a blast! It was so fun to get away and relax after the wedding. I wish I could say we were stressed planning the wedding but we really weren't. Random - I know. I had that wedding planned long ago so it was more exciting to see everything come together. Hawaii truly is a great place to vacation. We were able to experience lots of fun things and laughed the whole time we were there. We kayaked out into the ocean blue and saw sea turtles. I wouldn't recommend going out as far as we did. We were unable to see more than a few feet below the waters surface and my mind was racing with thoughts of being tipped over by a whale coming up for air and then being eaten to death by sharks. Which leads me to whales. We took a sail boat tour and saw a lot of whales close up jumping, blowing air, sunbathing and even playing with young. It was pretty awesome!

We also golfed and YES...I beat Weston by 2! I even counted my gimme strokes this time. Why he thinks he can beat is pure craziness. He can't. I always win. But nonetheless, it was such a beautiful day to play golf and of course the views were magnificent! We swam in the ocean, ate LOTS and LOTS of food and yummy lava flows, zip lined, saw Warren and Annabells magic show, deer amongst the lava rocks and many other fun things. I love my sweets and thank him for the best honeymoon ever!

WEDDING TIMES

Here are a few photos or our wedding day and of our groomals. What a great time and how happy and lucky we are! We took our groomal photos at the Utah State Capital, Exchange Place and two old run down homes in American Fork. Brooke Bowen at Star 21 did my hair for both days and I just loved the styles. She has cutmy hair for eight years and I just adore her. Logan at Zumaphoto was our photographer and she did a fabulous job. The pictures were fun to take but it was cold!

The wedding day was simply amazing! We were very fortunate to have Elder Holland seal us in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a beautiful day, but there was no snow. That was one of my required wishes for my wedding day...but that's ok, at least it was sunny that day and not smoggy like the other February days. We had a great ceremony and just a fabulous, very filling wedding dinner at Cucina Nassi in Sugarhouse. WOW! It was breath-taking and I owe it all to my wonderful team consisting of my mother, Sean, Valter, Colby and yours truly - ME. We will forever remember that day!
