children...

"Mom, Dad? Can I sleep with you tonight? I am really scared" said the look on Tahoe's face last night as we were heading to sleep!
"The thunder is really loud and the lighting makes me shake" again said the look and body position of our little child/dog!
So, instead of waiting for a response, Tahoe runs into our room and jumps on our bed. He lays there looking up at me with his eyes only, not moving his head, hoping for approval. I wait patiently for Weston to come to bed and he sees Tahoe sprawled out on the bed and starts laughing saying "Did you encourage this?"
(Mind you, Tahoe is not allowed in our room, let alone on our bed! EVER!)
I quickly said "NO" and with that Weston motioned for the poor scared puppy to get off the bed.
Tahoe is a great listener and does what we ask with no hesitation, but this time he didn't budge but stared at the ground in shame and embarrassment.
(I secretly think that he was hoping to be invisible)
Needless to say, Tahoe slept with us on our bed last night as the Thunder shook our house all night! Besides, how can you resist such a sweet face?
We joked about how all too real this will be when we have kids!

WASH YOUR UNDERCARRIAGE...

I got the invite to join the team last week from my brother after one of his friends had to cancel. I reluctantly said YES. Why? For the obvious reasons of ...
1- I don't run
2- I can't run
3- I haven't tried to run
4- I don't run!!!!!
So, I will be training this week for the RAGNAR RELAY and joining my fellow teammates Friday morning in Logan ready to race! Although I have no idea what leg I will be running, I am excited to be apart of this great event and to be crammed in a stinky, sweaty, smelly, smuggy, and stylin' van with awesome friends for 24 hours. YAY! Go Team!
I gotta go running...

REAL fun...

Sweets and I joined family and friends from work for a night out of fun at the REAL soccer game and the David Cook concert! We had such a blast watching our team win in the last few minutes 1-0 and enjoying the rock out band and vocals of David Cook. We ate a smorgasbord of fajitas and hot dogs, salad and fruit, chips and salsa and not to mention the delectable dessert cart!
Yummy huh!

Why no one told me I had food in my teeth is beyond me...
Thanks FRIENDS and SWEETS!!!!!!!!
Yes, its true! In the flesh!

Many thanks go out to Mike at Wells for making the night possible and Mark for getting us there and back in one piece!

"Great Merriment"

This is the definition of GLEE according to the Princeton dictionary.

I don't know about all of you, but those peeps that came to our home last night felt much of this 'great merriment' watching the season finale of Glee! We had such a fun time catching up with each other, eating the world's greatest cheese pull-aparts from the Pie and singing along while watching this awkwardly hilarious musically talented show.

I must say that I have the most amazing husband, whom I love to pieces, and I appreciate the fact that he loves Glee as much as I do! It makes TV night much more fun when we agree on the show! Thank you sweets for letting me have my girlies over for the night to enjoy the finale of Glee. You are such a trooper for enduring all of us women. Spirit fingers go out to you and Tahoe for 'man'ing the fort with all of us there!

Things we will miss on Glee:
- Kurt and his outfits!
- Blondie and her ditzy one-liners!
- Finn and his lack of dance moves!
- Rachel and her self- proclaimed stardom!
- Sue and her awfully funny demeaning phrases!
- Will and his $5 "permed" hair!
- Emma and her quirky habits!
- Mercedes and her incredible voice!
- And all the rest of the outstanding cast who bring the show its optimistic glamour of underdogs making it to
sectionals!

For now, its boredom on Tuesday nights until the next season of Glee...

A definite...SHOE...in

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SHOES!!!!!!!

Summer is just around the corner! Shoes are a great way to accessorize and make a statement in an inexpensive way. These are my 2 must-have-fav shoes for the season!

1- is the boat shoe. They are a great slip-on supported shoe that you can wear with anything from jeans to shorts or skirts to dresses. They look and feel great with a casual 'run errands outfit', or pair them up with a cute pencil skirt for work and you have a 'noticeable' night out! Also, yellow is becoming the new accent color in addition to red, so don't be afraid to spunk your wardrobe with color.
2- is the dolled up flip flop. This one in particular has a kitten heel to add a smidgen of length to your legs and some cushion for your feet. The accessory flower on top adds a flare to the plain flip flop. You can wear this casually or dressy. The color is amazing because not only can you wear it with black, but you can also wear it with brown! Add a little gold or silver necklace and handbag, and you set!

I recommend everyone owns at least one of these shoes for the summer. Be creative with your shoes. They are an accessory item and like any belt, scarf or purse, they should be fun, cute and bold!

ThUrSdAy FuN...

While Weston went biking up Emigration Canyon last night getting all hot and sweaty feeling tired and defeated; I went to hang out with my peeps of Book Club to laugh and joke around, eat, and discuss books! I couldn't have been happier. I unfortunately can't say the same for Weston.

I just LOVE the Lovely Ladies of book club! We have such an incredible time meeting together every month to discuss books, life, work and boys. It is such a treat to meet at The Grandma House! What special memories have formed there over the past year. Emily, you are an incredible woman to host us every month.

We just finished reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, which is an incredible book! Other books we have read are:
-The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society
- The Help
- Hunger Games
- Julia Child
-The Book Thief
- These is my Words
Leigh nicely gave all of us an A.R.E. copy of the book for this month which sounds incredible. It is The Silence of God. I am so excited to read it!

I recommend reading any one of these books this summer if you are looking for good reads. Some have special meanings and are very influential, while others are just relazing and fun. It is always good to keep your nose in a book and take a break from the world around us for a few hours a day.

Thanks for the great night girlies and I'll see ya'll soon with my notes...

TRI - HARDER!

Main Image
This is my goal for the year...an olympic tri!
Battle At Midway

As some of you know, I was diagnosed with AS last year and it has taken a toll on my body. It makes doing things that I love more difficult with some variation of pain. I have not been able to be as active as I would have liked this past year. I can't bike long distances, run, lift things or even sit. However, I am working on new techniques to help strength my body as well as doing physical therapy weekly in order to get back what has been lost this past year.

Although I have done this triathlon before 2 years ago, my body is not nearly in the shape that it was and I am not nearly as strong as I was, and so I figure this is a good event to jump start myself into becoming what I used to be. I intend on training for the Olympic race again this year and finishing it with a good time! I hope that I can stay on top of my AS and actually make it to "race day".

I'll keep ya posted on my training.
Wish me luck!

Memorial MOAB

Weston and I traveled to Moab with Ryan and Erin for Memorial weekend to play! We jeeped Hell's Revenge, part 1 of Fins-n-things, Metal Masher, baby Lions Back and Potato Salad. We camped at Kane Creek and loved those peeps that kept us up the first night! (wink)! We had such a blast touring Moab, seeing Dead Horse Point, playing games, walking through town, having "lo to ma", "ma to af"...etc conversations and just hanging out with each other.
Here are a few pics of our fun...
