KINDLE ME FANCY

I seriously LOVE my Kindle!
Don't get me wrong...I love paper books too!
But I love reading on my Kindle so much more!!

Here are the books I have read in the past two months on my wonderful, lite E-book that I can cart anywhere and that holds thousands of books on it at a time while allowing me access to a dictionary and the internet and has a cute lime green case on it...
1 - The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
2 - Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls
3 - Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
4 - The Paris Wife by Paula McLain
5 - Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
6 - Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea by Barbara Demick

Also, my Sweets has been reading lately too and suggests reading:
1 - Where Men Win Glory by Jon Krakauer
2 - Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand

If you haven't read these books yet, I highly suggest you read them! They all are really good and really profound. There truly is nothing better than reading.

Books Devoured!

Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.
~ Joseph Addison ~

August came and went without me.
I was happily consumed by the written word cuddled up with my kindle in bed.
I had expectations from the start and was rewarded by the ending with profit.
Here are a few books that kept me from reality this past August:

A Particular Sadness of Lemon cake
The Heretic's Daughter
The Poisonwood Bible
Push Not the River

ThUrSdAy FuN...

While Weston went biking up Emigration Canyon last night getting all hot and sweaty feeling tired and defeated; I went to hang out with my peeps of Book Club to laugh and joke around, eat, and discuss books! I couldn't have been happier. I unfortunately can't say the same for Weston.

I just LOVE the Lovely Ladies of book club! We have such an incredible time meeting together every month to discuss books, life, work and boys. It is such a treat to meet at The Grandma House! What special memories have formed there over the past year. Emily, you are an incredible woman to host us every month.

We just finished reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, which is an incredible book! Other books we have read are:
-The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society
- The Help
- Hunger Games
- Julia Child
-The Book Thief
- These is my Words
Leigh nicely gave all of us an A.R.E. copy of the book for this month which sounds incredible. It is The Silence of God. I am so excited to read it!

I recommend reading any one of these books this summer if you are looking for good reads. Some have special meanings and are very influential, while others are just relazing and fun. It is always good to keep your nose in a book and take a break from the world around us for a few hours a day.

Thanks for the great night girlies and I'll see ya'll soon with my notes...
