DEVELOPING DESIGN

So the 'big project' that I have been working on is finally finished!!!
The grand reveal...
(drum roll please)

If you haven't guessed it already, I was put in charge of furnishing 2 of our model homes! It was a partial furnish, with design to the living room and kitchen with accents in the bathrooms, but nonetheless it was tough work to get done in one week. I have never staged a home before so it was a really neat experience to be able to learn more about what staging entails and just what is needed to really make a home sell. Remember, less is more! I spent countless hours researching online and then hit up the stores and started designing layouts and color schemes. It was super fun and I really hope that I get do this again.

The first home was at our project in Riverwalk, which is just behind Mulligan's Golf Course on 10600 S. I completed this home with a base of black and then added blue/green for the color scheme accent.
furniture: IKEA
kitchen decor: Tai Pan
accessories: Pier 1
The second home was at Pioneer Ridge in Spanish Fork. It is the same floor plan so I choose to do a similar layout but with different colors. I used a white base and then added yellow/purple for the colored accents.
furniture: Sofa Mart
kitchen: IKEA
accessories: Tai Pan
Both the houses were to be completed on a pretty low budget so, that made for some fun digging finds of the sale and clearance areas. I was very happy with the way they both turned out and the two color schemes seem to blend perfectly with the homes. I only had a few minutes (like 2) to spend inside the model before I had to go pick out everything. I did a lot of crossing my fingers in hopes it all would match...and I think they do!
Now, I can relax and get back to the grind of the office work.
